Bethesda Alliance Sr. Academy Partnership News

The Alliance partnership and its member clubs are constantly seeking to enhance and improve the developmental environment for our players and coaches.

With that in mind we have a major announcement, beginning with the 2015-2016 seasonal year:

We are thrilled that beginning  Fall 2015, Bethesda Soccer Club will be working with Alliance to bring its nationally-recognized Youth Development Program to our Senior Academy (U8 and U9) age groups. Bethesda will be providing the Youth Academy curriculum and providing some of their top youth trainers to staff and operate Alliance's member club Youth Academy Programs for the Senior Academy (U8 and U9) age groups.

“The Bethesda Soccer Club, in an effort to work with other local soccer clubs to produce a better development model for the youth players, is very excited to be working with the Alliance Soccer Club and their U8/U9senior Academy”.

      Brad Roos
      Bethesda SC Executive Director

The Youth Academy Programs will be restructured. The U4/U5, U6, and U7 Academy age groups will now be collectively known as the “Junior Academy” and these age groups will continue to operate exactly as they have been operating this current 2014-2015 seasonal year.

The U8 and U9 Academy age groups will now collectively be known as the “Bethesda Alliance Senior Academy”.

Here is a quick Youth Academy summary beginning in Fall 2015:

•         The U4/U5 and U6 age groups will receive one night of Alliance-provided training plus Saturday games

•         The U7 age group will receive one night of Alliance-provided training and one night of “Parent Coach” training plus Saturday games.

•         The U8 age group will receive one night of Bethesda-provided training and one night of “Parent Coach” training plus Saturday games.

•         The U9 age group will receive two nights of Bethesda-provided training, plus games and play dates.

U9 players will have the choice to either register for the Senior Academy travel program or to register for the U10 Recreational (Maryland Open Soccer League) program.

The U9 Senior Academy run by Bethesda is for players that are serious and want to compete and play at a high level and receive exceptional training and player development.  The commitment for U9 Bethesda Alliance Sr. Academy is seasonal. Players will have the option to play fall and/or spring.  Our U9 Senior Academy teams will play in either the MOSL select travel side, CMSSL, or OBSL travel league.
